Most know Androma Racella as the Bloody Baroness, a powerful mercenary whose reign of terror stretches across the Mirabel Galaxy. To those aboard her glass starship, Marauder, however, she’s just Andi, their friend and fearless leader.
But when a routine mission goes awry, the Marauder’s all-girl crew is tested as they find themselves in a treacherous situation and at the mercy of a sadistic bounty hunter from Andi’s past.
Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a ruthless ruler waits in the shadows of the planet Xen Ptera, biding her time to exact revenge for the destruction of her people. The pieces of her deadly plan are about to fall into place, unleashing a plot that will tear Mirabel in two.
Andi and her crew embark on a dangerous, soul-testing journey that could restore order to their shipor just as easily start a war that will devour worlds. As the Marauder hurtles toward the unknown, and Mirabel hangs in the balance, the only certainty is that in a galaxy run on lies and illusion, no one can be trusted.
Well, I read it. However, I chose the audiobook route for this specific novel just because the physical book was huge (which is what I like with most books) because I was very busy with other things when I finally picked Zenith up.
I’m well aware this novel has a lot of mixed reviews, and after completing it, I understand why. Now, I am not going to point these problems out just to prevent any spoilers for those who have not picked this one up yet.
Now, I am definitely the type of person who loves long books especially during the Fall and Winter, however, Zenith was a bit too long for me even though with the audiobook it didn’t feel like it, nevertheless, there was a lot of description, which is fine, but it got a little annoying most of the time.
Last, but not least, I want everyone to know that I found the audiobook entertaining and enjoyable, so if you want to read this novel, but feel a little intimidating with the size, get the audiobook. Trust me.
