In May 1940, Germany advanced into France, trapping Allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Under air and ground cover from British and French forces, troops were slowly and methodically evacuated from the beach using every serviceable naval and civilian vessel that could be found. At the end of this heroic mission, 330,000 French, British, Belgian and Dutch soldiers were safely evacuated.

After waiting for about one year, I finally got to see my third 2017 anticipated film, and I am still blown away by how intense and heart wrenching the film was.

First off, I just want to point out that I did not see this movie just because Harry Styles is in it. That is actually half of the reason, but the other half is I love History films or anything that has to do with history, especially films set during WWII. Don’t ask me why I am even fascinated with that kind of stuff, I just am.

It’s just a little fascinating to learn what those men went through during the war, and honestly, watching this film made me cry a lot. I mean, if you haven’t shed a tear at a movie like this one, then are you even human? These men the actors are portraying seriously went through hell and back. Most of the scenes featured in this film were so heartbreaking, I just couldn’t stop.

Anyway, if you are wondering if you should give this film a shot, my answer is a definite yes. This film will have you on the edge of your seat, no doubt about it.
