This second novel begins in 1940, immediately after the first book ended. Having escaped Miss Peregrine’s island by the skin of their teeth, Jacob and his new friends must journey to London, the peculiar capital of the world. Along the way, they encounter new allies, a menagerie of peculiar animals, and other unexpected surprises.
Complete with dozens of newly discovered (and thoroughly mesmerizing) vintage photographs, this new adventure will delight readers of all ages.
Hollow City was honestly a fun book for me. We got a little more adventure in this book; more than the first book, to be honest. While reading the second book in this trilogy, I honestly fell more in love with each one of the characters. All of them are just unique in their own way, and that is what I love the most about these books. They are not perfect like most of the characters I read about in other books. They all have their own unique abilities (peculiars), making most of them insecure.
I had so many thoughts going through my head while reading. Trust me, I had so many emotions every time I completed each chapter.
I still can’t believe it took me this long to buy this trilogy and read them.
